Xavier Cortez, a Filipino artist based in Dubai currently works as illustrator/graphic designer in advertising agency, TBWA\RAAD. Back in his country, he began doing portraits and  freelance job, working on set and props design for Tv and Film industry. Inspired by the comic books and famous painters, he learned and mastered many traditional mediums and techniques. He says,"I used to draw and paint any subject that I found interesting. I tried different illustration styles and paintings, so I didn't find it difficult to convert the process to digital painting."

Xavier graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and has turned his artistic talents into a professional career in advertising. He adds, "During my spare time, I like to branch out and learn about other areas that are related to my job...I'm constantly trying to improve myself."

To date, Xavier personal works has been focusing on digital painting and sculptures that reflect a fantasy/science fiction genre.
